DHA sent a letter of support to Senator Nicole Poore on June 26th in support of legislation to establish a new subchapter of Title 16 regulating urgent care facilities and requires such facilities to obtain a license from the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) based upon accreditation by an approved accrediting body. The Act also requires each urgent care facility in the State to enroll in the Delaware Health Information Network (DHIN) and to notify a patient's primary care provider through DHIN of patient encounters.
