We are in a serious situation with the COVID-19 virus (or coronavirus). The objective is to flatten the curve of infection so as to not overwhelm hospital resources and save lives. This is why governors are beginning to close states and we have been urged to practice social isolation.
If you do have symptoms, including fever, cough and shortness of breath, call your health care provider or the Delaware Division of Public Health 1-866-408-1899 to discuss whether you should be tested for coronavirus.
This week, an op-ed written by DHA President & CEO Wayne Smith and Marcy Jack, Chief Quality & Safety Officer for Beebe Healthcare urged the Delaware Senate to pass HB 144 to protect health care workers from violent assaults.
