On March 24th, DHA sent a letter of support for SB 85 to Senator Poore, the bill's sponsor. SB 85 allows the Public Guardian to collect fees for services. This is an important component of the ongoing work of the Non-Acute Patient Medical Guardianship Task Force to ensure that patients do not become stuck in the hospital long after their period of acuity and instead can be transferred to a more appropriate care setting.
