Not only that, the first state also tops the world’s list, according to a new report featured in the Journal of the American Medical Association. Much of Delaware’s success can be attributed to a partnership between the Gift of Life Donor Program and Delaware’s hospitals.

Delaware Goes Purple to Raise Awareness for Substance Abuse

In order to fight this epidemic in Delaware, the Sussex County Health Coalition (SCHC) launched the Delaware Goes Purple project in September to raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding drug addiction.
