Delaware Hospitals Announce Coordinated Approach to Tackle Human Trafficking

Delaware hospitals are joining forces to combat human trafficking. A coordinated victim identification protocol has been adopted by all hospitals in our state that will allow more of those imprisoned by the tragedy of human trafficking to be identified and rescued.

DHA Supports Introduction of Hospital Workplace Violence Prevention Bill

(DOVER, DE – May 7, 2019) Representative Bill Bush and Senator Trey Charles Paradee introduced legislation today, House Bill 144, aimed at curbing violent assaults on workers at Delaware hospitals and other health care facilities. HB 144 expands the felony offense of Assault in the Second Degree to anyone that intentionally causes physical injury on any person providing health care treatment or employed by a health care provider.

(DOVER, DE – April 18, 2019) Today, the Delaware General Assembly approved Senate Concurrent Resolution 30, introduced by Senator Nicole Poore and Representative Ray Seigfried to establish a study group examining patient abandonment at hospitals.
