Jen Rini is Director of Communications at the Delaware Healthcare Association, supporting media and communications operations for the organization. Jen began her communications career as a journalist covering Delaware government and politics for the Delaware State News in Dover. Following her time at the State News, she was the health reporter for The News Journal, leading content for the weekly health section and pursing enterprise healthcare features. Later, Jen moved on to career in state government, serving as Deputy Communications Director for the Delaware House Majority Caucus and then leading internal and external communications strategy as Community Relations Coordinator at the state’s child welfare, juvenile justice and behavioral health agency, the Delaware Children’s Department.
Most recently she served as Communications Director for the Delaware Lt. Governor’s Office. She has also worked within the communications team at a recycling NGO where she gained broader experience in marketing and communications project management.
Jen has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware in Mass Communication and a minor in Journalism. Outside of DHA, Jen loves exploring Delaware’s parks and beaches with her husband Jon, daughter River, and pup Sophie.
