DHA sent a letter of support June 23rd to Senator Nicole Poore, sponsor of Senate Bill 246. The bill would authorize Delaware hospitals to petition for a court-appointed guardian for non-acute patients who have been abandoned by their family. DHA strongly supports SB 246 as it is an important step in helping to transition non-acute extended stay patients to a more appropriate care setting.
