Delaware Healthcare Association Statement on Governor Meyer’s Transition Report
(Dover, DE – February 6, 2025) – The Delaware Healthcare Association released the below statement from President & CEO Brian Frazee following the release of Governor Matt Meyer’s Transition Report. Frazee served on the Transition Team’s Care & Community Actions Committee and Department of Health & Social Services Subcommittee.
“The Delaware Healthcare Association will continue partnering with the Meyer Administration to reach our shared goals of high-quality, accessible, equitable, and affordable healthcare for all. It was an honor to work alongside the committed policymakers and community leaders dedicated to finding collaborative solutions that meet people where they are and ensure that healthcare remains a top priority.
Delaware’s growing and aging population as well as the complex health needs of our state demand urgent policy action. Delaware’s hospitals, health systems, and healthcare related organizations will continue to work side-by-side our state leaders and partners to meet the unique needs of our patients and communities, and this report shows a clear vision for the future.
Delaware is #2 in the nation for hospital quality, but more progress toward our shared goals will not happen unless we work collaboratively to ensure healthcare access across the continuum of care, enhance preventative care and reimbursement, and address the social drivers of health. DHA and our members are ready to lean in, collaborate for change, and build on our successes to make the First State first in health,” said Brian Frazee, President & CEO of the Delaware Healthcare Association.
