(Dover, DE – June 17, 2026) – Brian Frazee, President & CEO of the Delaware Healthcare Association, issued the following statement regarding the Wilmington Hospital shooting on Tuesday.
“Far too often, Delaware’s dedicated physicians, nurses, and hospital teams are called upon to care for victims of violence. Yesterday, the caregivers at ChristianaCare’s Wilmington Hospital, along with the patients and families they serve, experienced that tragedy firsthand. The Delaware Healthcare Association grieves alongside the ChristianaCare community following this senseless act of violence. We extend our deepest condolences to the victims and their families, and we stand with the healthcare workers, first responders, and all those affected by this traumatic event. Hospitals are places of healing, compassion, and hope. Even in the face of tragedy, Delaware’s healthcare professionals continue to answer the call to care for others. Their courage, resilience, and commitment are an inspiration to us all. As a healthcare community, we stand together to support those impacted by this violence.”
