Frame-Shape

Jenn Schwartz is president and CEO of ChristianaCare, a role she assumed on September 1, 2026.

Since joining the health system in 2018, Schwartz has played a leading role in advancing ChristianaCare’s growth, transformation and long-term sustainability. Throughout her career, she has been known for bringing together physicians, hospitals and health systems to form durable partnerships that improve care, strengthen alignment and better serve patients and communities. She believes lasting progress in healthcare happens when organizations and clinicians work together around a shared commitment to quality, access and value.

Before becoming president and CEO, Schwartz served as executive vice president and chief strategy officer. In that role, she aligned strategy, growth and financial planning with ChristianaCare’s mission of service to the community. She led enterprise-wide strategic planning and execution, with an emphasis on value-based care, ambulatory growth, clinical integration, partnerships and regional expansion.

Schwartz led the development of ChristianaCare’s ambulatory health network, designed to meet people where they are. The network expands access through physician practices, neighborhood hospitals, outpatient campuses, ambulatory surgery centers and care-at-home programs, helping keep care close to home.

She also helped develop strategic partnerships and joint ventures that use innovative care-delivery models to improve outcomes while lowering the total cost of care. These efforts include Curascend, a joint venture with Highmark Health, as well as ChristianaCare’s Medicare and Medicaid accountable care organizations.

Schwartz serves on the board of Serviam Girls Academy, a tuition-free private middle school in Wilmington, Delaware.

Before joining ChristianaCare, Schwartz was vice president of legal affairs and general counsel for Lourdes Health System and chief executive director of the LHS Health Network Accountable Care Organization. As chief executive director, she built one of New Jersey’s largest accountable care organizations, comprising more than 200 primary care physicians.

Earlier in her career, Schwartz was a partner at Fox Rothschild LLP and GluckWalrath LLP, representing hospitals and healthcare providers in areas including healthcare reform, physician alignment, reimbursement, regulatory compliance, strategic affiliations and risk management.

Schwartz earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Widener University School of Law, where she served as editor-in-chief of the Widener Law Review. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Denison University.
