As we approach the holiday season and winter months where there is less time outside and more gatherings, vaccination and prevention keep ourselves, our loved ones, and community members healthy.
Please see the below resources for the public and providers:
Make Your Plan to Have Healthy Holidays!
To prevent the spread of respiratory illness, wash hands frequently, stay home when sick and vaccinate against flu, COVID-19, and if applicable, RSV.
Consult with your healthcare provider:
-
- Primary care (including pediatric) offices offer the flu vaccine to established patients.
- Ask if the COVID-19 shot is available. Providers will refer you to urgent care or local pharmacy options if they don’t offer it in the office.
- Interested in the RSV vaccine? Consult your health provider on recommendations.
Know where to go for care:
Seek care for coughs and colds from primary care and urgent care, including the many virtual care options available today, and use the emergency department for emergencies.
