Delaware Healthcare Association Statement on Governor Meyer and Lt. Governor Gay Inauguration
(Dover, DE – January 21, 2025) – The Delaware Healthcare Association released the below statement from President & CEO Brian Frazee following the inauguration of Governor Matt Meyer and Lt. Governor Kyle Evans Gay.
“At a time when there is so much uncertainty on the direction of health policy, there’s great potential for bold progress in Delaware under the leadership of Governor Meyer and Lt. Governor Gay. This swearing-in marks an exciting time in Delaware to build an even stronger, more innovative healthcare system. Hospitals are essential to that progress, and the Delaware Healthcare Association stands ready to assist the incoming administration reach our shared goals of high-quality, affordable, accessible, and equitable healthcare for all.”
“As a member of Governor Meyer’s transition team, DHA has been alongside Governor Meyer, Lt. Governor Gay, and the many community stakeholders committed to finding solutions that work for Delaware and our unique needs. We know that the policies put forward from incentivizing preventative care to addressing the healthcare workforce are not just words on paper — they’re backed with a clear vision. That’s why Governor Meyer was the first-ever gubernatorial candidate the DHA Political Action Committee endorsed.”
“Here’s the bottom line: Healthy hospitals mean healthier communities. They are at the heart of our state’s success. Perhaps no one knows this more fiercely than our new First Lady Lauren Meyer, an emergency room doctor on the frontlines of health and wellness. Together, the Meyer Administration will bring a new vision and collaborative solutions to the healthcare needs of our state. Let’s get to work,” said Brian Frazee, President & CEO of the Delaware Healthcare Association.
