(Dover, DE – Nov. 21, 2024) The Delaware Healthcare Association sent a letter yesterday to outgoing Gov. John Carney asking him not to nominate members of the HB 350 Diamond State Hospital Cost Review Board and allow the incoming administration to manage the issue.
“On behalf of our members and the patients and communities they serve, we urge outgoing Governor Carney to resist making lame-duck appointments in relation to HB 350, especially with litigation pending,” said Brian Frazee, DHA president and CEO. “Further, the incoming administration and legislative leaders have signaled a willingness to consider further changes to HB 350. With the final shape of the law occurring under the next administration, Governor-elect Matt Meyer, Lt. Governor-elect Kyle Evans Gay, legislative leaders, and the courts should resolve this issue before appointments are made to the Board.”
A copy of the letter is attached. Frazee is available for media interviews.
