DHA sent a letter to Senator Lopez on April 16th raising concerns with Senate Bill 15 to require the health care provider drawing blood for a Lyme disease laboratory test to provide written language that the results may be problematic and present a false negative or false positive result. DHA is concered this interferes with the patient/practitioner relationship and opposes legislating specific language regarding diseases and testing as new technologies and medical discoveries happen much faster than any legislative process.
